the Od Peacock Primer:
a short history, FAQ, and disclaimer.
this site is dedicated to all of my creative friends, especially Julie for teaching me how to solder while we should have been working.
Friendly neighborhood disclaimer:
All images are culled from the Od Peacock's private collection of ephemera. Originals are labeled as such in the description. All others are quality reproductions, gel transfers, or rescued prints. Jewelry is lead-free-but not sterling, produced in a manner similar to that of the stained glass process. Custom orders using your imagery are welcomed. Any image on the site can be made into a piece of jewelry to your specifications. We do not claim the copyright on customer supplied images, nor do we involve ourselves on the legitimacy of the individual's ownership of said copyright. We're just the tinkers, not the lawyers. All images used on the Od Peacock site or those used in Od Peacock jewelry are © Od Peacock and culled from original source material which the Od Peacock retains. Please do not use the images without permission.
Do not ingest any items in the catalog. Do not drop them, submerge them, hammer them or generally abuse them. They are made of glass and handmade materials and have certain inherent manmade flaws that some people find charming and others don't. If you should have a problem with your jewelry, please return it and i will fix what ails you.
origins and current tinkers:
The Od Peacock is the illegitimate child of The Od Peacock Sultan Co.
and Dark Holler Records. The Od Peacock Sultan Co. you may know from
their medical texts and the excellent Peacock's Bromides. Dark Holler you may have
heard via the wonders of the compact disc and the new fangled vinyl record.
The Od Peacock has been in production since 2003 and entered the online ether in May of 2005.
Omie (aka Ali) lives in the exciting and lucrative world of repro mourning jewelry production, postcard collecting,
and livejournal addiction. Omie is quite envious of the boots shown below. (pictured is my pinch hitting self portrait model, Sadie)

Od,not odd, is very odd indeed:
"Od" is not a misspelling of the word "odd", but rather an obscure term which connotes a form of
animal magnetism.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you value your customers?(no one actually asks this, but i'd like to talk about this for a moment)
I love my customers. So much of what I enjoy about having a DIY small business is the link to other people with
shared interests. Ordering over the internet always includes a leap of faith, but rest assured I'm a real person who likes to see customers
who are pleased with their purchases. So if you ever have a suggestion, complaint or a question I am ready to help and to make things as "right" as possible.
Pictured below is a real customer (Malena) ...they do exist!

Do you ship worldwide?
We ship anywhere the post office will let us. Just click the "elsewhere" button if you don't live in the US.
___________________________________________________________________
Do you make the frames for the images?
Yes, each frame is made by hand and is not a premade charm frame. All wirework and embellishments
are soldered onto the initial frame.
_____________________________________________________
Will you lengthen/shorten the necklace?
I will lengthen or shorten any necklace whenever possible. However, any lengthening over a few inches will incur a small fee to cover materials. I'm pretty reasonable
about this sort of thing and odds are I probably wouldn't charge you any extra.

Do you take commissions?
Yes I do. You can contact me HERE and we can chat about options and approx. completion dates. The final price is not significantly higher than already
finished items. Here is an example of a completed commission for the ever lovely and talented Kerrykate of October Effigies

As much as i'd love to be exceedingly quick about getting commissions finished, sometimes real life intervenes. Completed commissions can be expected between
2-4 weeks. I do welcome the opportunity to cater to your particular needs so by all means request something.
Do you vend at craft/art/anywhere you can plop down a table shows?
Yes. I reside right in the center of the mid-atlantic and can travel when needed, though I really do enjoy being at home.
